Lori Kokotailo
Known for: Actor
A petite 5'6" brunette, she's a blend of French & Belgian (maternal) and Ukrainian /Austrian & French-Canadian (paternal) heritage. Her background in substitute teaching taught her to present with a steely gaze and calm demeanor (keeping students on their toes) before using humor to playfully engage them. Many a student will remember her saying her last name is "Koko like chocolate, tai like a necktie and lo like not high" - which always gained a chuckle. She caught the acting bug in elementary school and after focusing on Philosophy for three years in college, intending to pursue law, she traveled solo for a year and a half; returning her to her childhood passion. Notable training includes: The American Academy of Dramatic Arts & Lee Strasberg Theater Institute (NYC), Groundlings, Second City & Scott Sedita Acting Studio (LA) and UBC - BFA in Acting / BEd in Drama (Vancouver). Often likened to Sarah Jessica Parker or Elizabeth Reaser, her humor is most akin to that of Kate McKinnon. Lori is also a proud dialect coach with Tony Alcantar & Associates.
