Ariel Llinas was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and moved to New York at age three. He has a rich cultural background-Lebanese, Italian, Indigenous, African, and Spanish-and is fluent in both English and Spanish.With over 20 years of acting experience, Ariel has played roles such as Mike Connolly in Kevin Costner's Horizon, General Arturo Vasquez in NCIS: Los Angeles, Al Jollett in Fatal Attraction, and Detective Ordaz in Bosch.After earning a marketing degree, a surfing trip to California changed everything. He was discovered at a gym by casting director Don Philip Smith and offered a role on The Young and the Restless. He then trained with acting coaches Howard Fine, Brian Reise, and The Actor's Circle.His bilingual skills and Colombian roots led to national commercial work, and he soon appeared in shows like Shameless, LA's Finest, Strange Angel, Animal Kingdom, Dexter, State of Affairs, and Hacienda Heights.Blending his talents in acting and marketing, Ariel created the bilingual spokesperson character "Don Remate" and launched a unique, successful automotive marketing company. He still runs the business while continuing to grow his acting career.Ariel now lives in Los Angeles with his wife, children, and two dogs.
