Danielle Legris, an American actress, writer, producer, personal trainer and women's advocate, spent her childhood in southern Illinois and North Carolina. She attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics and then Boston University, studying neuroscience, followed by several years working as a behavioral neuropharmacologist.Always drawn to acting, Danielle hung up her lab coat and began performing in the American Repertory Theater's Donkey Show as Helen/Vinnie under the direction of Tony award-winning Diane Paulus. After two years performing this role, she relocated to NYC and began working on comedy projects with other writers and performers she met through Upright Citizens Brigade, as well as performing in several theater, film, television and podcast productions.Her creative pursuits also led Danielle to compete for the title of Miss Massachusetts and Miss Massachusetts USA, where she discovered her passion for fitness. For over a decade she has turned that passion into a successful personal training career and trains as an Olympic Weightlifter.Additionally, her work advocating for women's reproductive health has led her to create the interview series, Our Body Our Stories, giving women a platform to share their personal experiences for other women to learn from.
