Nikola Dadov was born on November 20, 1921 in the town of Strumica , today in the Republic of Macedonia . He studied at the Academy of Music. He was an actor in theaters in Blagoevgrad , Vratsa and Kyustendil , as well as in Boyana Film Studios. He is best known for his role as Gatyo in the film " Tree Without Roots ", directed by Christo Christov . He was awarded with combat orders and medals for his participation in the final phase of World War II . It was established in 1999 as an honorary citizen of Vratsa for overall acting work in film and theater. He died in Vratsa on November 21, 2005.
