Michael Krysiewicz

Michael John Krysiewicz has been profoundly Deaf since his birth. He uses American Sign Language to communicate.While attending Cleary School for the Deaf, starting at age 3, Michael participated in many school plays and he really fell in love with acting. Nickelodeon contacted Michael's school as they were seeking Deaf children for an upcoming commercial. Michael was recommended and Nickelodeon offered him an audition for a commercial. He went to the audition for Nickelodeon and got the job! But, two weeks later, Nickelodeon changed their minds and decided to go in a different direction. Michael was disappointed when he received the news but this motivated him to work harder to find other acting opportunities.Michael has been inspired since he saw the movie "Children of a Lesser God" with Marlee Matlin. When he saw Marlee Matlin was Deaf, he realized that Deaf people can be successful in any of their dreams too. From that point forward, Michael committed to pursuing his dream, not necessarily to "hit it big" but just doing what he loves, working, and connecting with the amazing people in the film industry.Since childhood, Michael has worked on several projects including films, commercials, and podcasts in a variety of ways. Michael is very diverse in, not only the ways he adds to film projects, but also in his acting skills; playing a variety of characters from murder victim to killer, comedy to drama, and even performing in a musical theatre.Michael is passionate about becoming an actor. He wants to inspire other Deaf people like Marlee Matlin inspired him as a child.
